R.A.W. Centre opening hours

Monday to Friday 9.30-5pm

If I am unavailable a member of staff will assist.

Student welfare is an important issue for your Students' Union and we provide certain services to inform and support students who might need it.

Firstly, the Students' Union run a Rights, Advice and Welfare Centre (R.A.W.) which is staffed by the Welfare and Appeals Coordinator Julie Murdoch and a team of student volunteers. It is located on the 1st floor of the Students' Union and is available for students to access at all times. It provides information on issues including campaigning, volunteering, housing information, and working rights for students, right through to sexual and mental health.

In the instance that a student may be facing a more serious problem, the R.A.W. Centre would refer them directly to the Student Services Counsellor within the University. It is important for students to be aware that the Students' Union only provides ADVICE and never aims to be a counselling service.

We are seeking students to volunteer their services to the RAW centre.  You dedicate as little or as much to the centre as you wish - as Tesco's say, Every little helps!

Please contact Julie @  welfare@qmu.ac.uk for more information.
